Kon-Tiki was a master builder who conquered the sea on something as basic as a raft. Who in your group is your hidden Kon-Tiki?
Concentration and bursts of intense focus hang heavy in the air as the team members build frenetically, test ideas, and fine-tune details with great enthusiasm. There is hammering, tying, and lively discussion - all in the pursuit of the most well-balanced and competitive raft.
On a day like this, the competitive instinct awakens in almost everyone. Suddenly, every decision matters: How should the floatation elements be placed for optimal stability? Should you prioritize maneuverability or pure speed? These are just a few of the questions that find their answers when the raft is finally put to the test!
You’ll be divided into teams of 4–5 people. The mission is to build a raft that is both seaworthy and fast - a construction strong enough to handle waves as well as race pace. When the building time is up, each team presents its creation to the others before it’s time for the prestigious final race.
Two people from each team then step aboard to compete for the win.
A memorable and high-energy activity that guarantees plenty of laughter - both from the spectators and from the newly minted raft builders themselves.
The winning team is awarded gold medals.
